Washington County School District refers to schools that feed a particular boundary area as a "Cone-Site".  The boundary cone-site will consist of a *high school (Grades 10, 11, 12), a middle school (Grades 8 and 9), an intermediate school (Grades 6 and 7) and several elementary schools.

OrientalAndBooksBecause elementary schools accommodate those students within walking distance of neighborhoods and communities, schools may cross boundary lines and feed several different cone-sites.  One example of an elementary school in this situation is Coral Canyon Elementary.  This school is located  at 3435 Canyon Crest Avenue in Washington, Utah.  This is in the golf community development at Coral Canyon off the Hurricane Exit of I-15.  Coral Canyon students may attend the Desert Hills Cone-Site, Pine View Cone-Site and Hurricane Cone-Site depending on the boundary area in which they live.  (i.e. Leeds students will attend Desert Hills Cone-Site, Students that live east of the Fair Grounds will attend Hurricane Cone-Site, students that live right in the Coral Canyon sub-division will attend Pine View Cone-Site).

Elementary schools may experience yearly boundary modifications to accommodate growth, development and safety.  However, secondary feeder schools remain consistent with the Washington County School Board approved boundary decision.  As students progress through the grade levels after the elementary experience they are required to attend the schools within the boundary cone-site.  Exceptions to this rule would follow the Open/Late Enrollment Law 53A-2-207.  Both elementary and secondary school administrators may also initiate a boundary waiver to protect the safety and welfare of an individual student.

Students in Grades 9-12 who attend school out of their boundary area who participate in Utah high school sanctioned, competitive activities are subject to the rules of the Utah High School Athletic Association (UHSAA)

*Note:  Enterprise High School comprises Grades 7,8,9,10,11,12
Enterprise Elementary is the only feeder elementary school for Enterprise High School
